Some Patients are not Covered by the RAMQ

There are any number of reasons why patients may present without health care coverage fro Medicare or from any other source (private insurance, out of pocket, etc...). It is important that intake persons, health care workers and patients themselves are aware of their rights to be able to access all services they require. For those individuals whose rights of access to universial health care are denied, because of status (new immigrants, between status and non-status, refugee), access to services often comes at a high financial cost. Helping these people to become informed and providing them with the services they need begins to address these injustices.
